My mother made rock cakes as we call them. I never have, but think I will now! I’ll have to see what her recipe is. We’re aussies, but my mother’s mum had an Irish father, so maybe that’s why we grew up with them. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else make them.

I love rock buns compared to scones. I use the Mary Berry recipe and make them regularly 😜
