There’s something lovely about the way you follow a smell through history here.

My Irish granny used to say the land remembers things long before we do. Reading this, I kept thinking how true that feels with wild garlic.

Thank you for this beautiful little journey through the woods.

I have wild garlic growing under the trees in the front garden but still haven't tried it for cooking. I love the smell of it. I remember the advent of the garlic bread in the pizzerias in the 1990s. Exotic or what 👌😉
